Where this comes from
The rose is without why.
The name goes back to a short verse by Angelus Silesius: the rose is without why — it blooms because it blooms. Most of our love has reasons: I love you because you are good to me, because you love me too. This app is about the love beneath those reasons — the love that asks for nothing in return and is still there when the reasons fall away.
Love Without Why belongs to no religion and is just as much for people who do not believe. Whoever wishes may call this love God. Nothing here has to be believed: every sentence is an invitation to check in your own experience what is true.
The sources of inspiration include Rupert Spira, Mooji, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramesh Balsekar, Swami Sivananda, Bernardo Kastrup, Eckhart Tolle, Meister Eckhart, Angelus Silesius, biblical texts and the wisdom of the Sufis. All texts are written independently, in their own words; the app is not affiliated with the teachers named.
